This car is a head turner, and the available options for more power and handling are endless. Also no where near as expensive as vehicles in europe.The firebirds have now ceased production which in turn leads to a collectable car and now a classic. |

| 1982 | Trans Am | Alex Gibson says... | I remember watching the series Knight Rider, and was completely in awe of the sleek black coup with more gadgets than any Bond car. Now, despite the dodgy David Hasslehoff link I have a basic black '85 Firebird which I'm hoping to restore as money permits. The interior is as nasty in grey plastic as you'd expect from a 19-year-old Vauxhall but the sleekest of the American muscle cars still looks modern and puts a smile on my face. | 1978 | Trans Am 6.6 Litre T-Top | Michael D'Agostino says... | I personally think it is the best looking car ever built (better than the later models too!) ,It could easily embaris many a European Supercar of it's day, on straight line performance.,It was ahead of it's time where airodynamics were concerned with frameless windows, shrowded wipers, and of course the Shaker Hood air intake that draws air from the low pressure area at the bottom of the windscreen, giving even greater horse power.,Coming I believe from Detroit, they were solid and bomb proof. And for the price of a Ferrari or Lamborgini of it's day, you could buy a whole fleet of Trans Am's. And finally? The sound of the 6.6 Litre engine is enough to get any petrol head pumping with adrenalin. |
